  • 1 set Prismacolor colored pencils; type: The Premier Set (wax base)

Note: begin with a set of 12 or 24, your choice. Do not exceed 24 for now

  • 1 colorless blending pencil
  • 2 hand-held metal pencil sharpeners (Alvin or Faber-Castell)
  • 1 gray kneaded eraser
  • 1 erasing shield
  • 1 Stonehenge 9” x 12” 100% cotton neutral pH/acid-free paper
  • 1 X-Acto knife with extra blades
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 1 Staedtler Mars metal ruler with cork backing
  • 1 can Prismacolor fixative matte finish

Note: to be used outdoors only

  • 1 can of Gamblin Gamsol 100% odorless mineral spirits

Note: Gamblin Gamsol is preferred in this studio & by The Colored Pencil Society of America

  • 1 dozen white Q-tips
  • 1 small sketchbook size: 5-1/4: x 8-1/2”

  • 1 set of 12 Cray-pas Expressionist oil pastels

Optional Items:

  • 1 pencil extender (optional)
  • 1 art gum eraser (optional)
  • 1 Derwent battery operated eraser (optional)
  • 1 artist sketch/drawing board (optional)
  • 1 roll of white acid-free artist tape or drafting tape (optional)
  • 1 flat Bright paint brush size: length 3/8” x width ¼” long, for use with the mineral

spirits (optional)

  • 1 3-ring binder with lined and plain white paper (optional)
  • 1 small package of clear plastic sleeves for binder above (optional)
